March field trip in Guantao

Dr Silvan Ragettli from hydrosolution, Dr Lu Wang and Mr Andreas Hagmann from ETH Zurich visited Guantao for the fieldtrip from 20^th Feb 2017 to 28^th March 2017. Pumping tests for estimating electricity-water conversion factor at 113 wells were performed with the help of 17 students from Hebei University of Engineering and with the assistance of Guantao Department of Water Resources. The testing method was the same with that in the previous sets of pumping tests which were performed in March and June in 2016, respectively. Most of the tested wells located in the Shoushansi District where the smart electricity meters were installed. The Swiss team checked the status of the smart electricity meters as well as 10 sets of flow meters. They also exchanged ideas about determining the electricity-water conversion factor with people from Hebei Province Water Conservancy Technology Testing and Promoting Centre (WCTTPC) and one of the flow meter manufactures (Tangshan Haisen Electronics Co., Ltd.).
