Field trip March 2016
The 3-week field trip lead us to both project sites Heihe and Handan.
The tasks in Handan included conducting pumping tests together with local students, the installation of an experimental setup to measure the infiltration rate in irrigation water storage ponds and the inspection of the 10 IC-card pump-monitoring systems. In Zhangye the annual workshop took place, where Chinese partners and the Swiss team presented and discussed their research. In addition to that technical work on the surface water monitoring stations was done.
